So these are not like a physical 1 terabyte external storage thingy that I’ve seen on ebay etc.? Would one of those external drives work for backing up physical media collections, or are they a bad idea? Is that considered NAS?

What the hell is RAID and NAS ? I have a bad ass DvD collection to the tune of 3k films ( no pineapple express bull shit ) that I’ve been wanting to back up. I don’t know shit about computers but have a 2014 MacBook pro with a disk drive that has never been online just used to watch movies when the power is out and to load my cd collection to mp3 players.

It just isn’t worth the risk. A scaffold could be built in ~30 minutes ( an hour tops) with almost no risk at all. I’ve worked at a facility with many tanks of water over 90k gallons each and we never would have pulled a stunt like that. Most had a permanent catwalk to service utilities above like lighting and plumbing.

A buddy of mine was locked up from 03 - 17. He was asking me, questions like " do you have Playstation 3, what kind of phone do you have?" …
He said " man I know I missed a lot but people are so rude now. I was talking to my cousin and instead of talking to me he was looking at his phone. That is disrespectful." I said yeah man the world changed a lot. Felt terrible for him trying to integrate back into this bull shit.
He went away for the craziest shift in society I could imagine.
The “value” is the ability to escape from the cycle and exist outside of this world. Self realization is the goal. And to be able to understand the concept on a level that can get a person out of here means repayment of karmic debt that is tied to many previous lives. So by starting to be a good person today maybe in only a few hundred more lives we can become liberated. It’s not an easy game to beat.
It’s said that when we die everything can be accessed, every second of our life so reading the “Tibetan Book of The Dead” ( the great book of natural liberation through understanding in the between) even once we will have a better chance of closing a better life on the path of liberation from suffering.
I had a hard time understanding/ believing any of these concepts. But every question I had seemed to have a reasonable answer
But we do choose the next life. It is far to complicated to explain here. There are many factors in the afterlife that cause bad choices to be made, karmic debt ( which is carried on from many past lives) for one.
We are also reborn on other planets and have all been each other’s relatives in almost every combination possible.
We do remember our past lives but we are reborn into a body that barely functions. We can’t control it in the sense that even a 4 year old can. Rather than that information of our previous life being discussed we forget about it while being presented with our new life and the realization that we are once again trapped in the cycle of birth and death.
Always found it amazing how Vegas hits those spreads dead nuts across all the games every week.it is truly an amazing feat.
The last 10 years they toss a flag then “go to new york” for the call and sometimes they just pick the flag up and say “oh it was nothing, back to our regularly scheduled programming”
We tried our best but we couldn’t stop them and they outplayed us now we’re looking forward to next week and we’re not going to focus on this loss our defense just needs to make more stops and our offense needs to put more points on the board we’ve got such a great group of guys and this loss is going to make us work harder and we’ll see if we can’t get a win next week

I thought the exact same thing when i joined. Today while working on my project car I decided to take pictures and make a post sometime over the next few days when I’m done with the task. I broke one of the small ones in the middle/ outside of my foot while simply stepping one step off my porch. The Doctor called it the cuboid bone, he asked how I did it . I told him “I stepped off the porch and heard a snap like a twig from my foot”. He got pretty upset and said " look man just tell me how it really happened! ". I told him again and he said there is no way thats what happened. He wrote me a perscription for hydrocodon. I took two days off work, drank 40’s, mixed the hydros with xanax and M box 30’s that I already had and had a nice few days
Got to poke around in a Buzz at a local euro car meet. They are larger inside than I imagined in pictures. I could see them being great for contractors in a stripped down version.
I lost my tacoma a few years back and have a 00 tdi golf with a roof rack and a tow hitch. Other than a couple times where I needed to get a lot of 4x8 sheets of subflooring it has handled everything I did with my truck. Water heaters , 12’ 6x6", loads of 2x4, 28’ ladders , scaffolding etc all go on the roof rack. I’ll probably never buy another truck. People joke around when I’m loading material, fuck em.
